Terms of service
Last updated September 2026. These terms apply to consignments booked with Gokul Cargo Movers.
Booking and rates
A booking is confirmed when we send the freight rate, vehicle type and placement date in writing and you accept it. Rates are quoted for the load described. If the actual weight, dimensions or route differs, the rate is revised before loading.
Documents
The consignor is responsible for the invoice, e-way bill and any statutory documents required for the material. We do not move a consignment without them.
Loading and unloading
Loading and unloading are arranged by the consignor and consignee unless agreed otherwise in writing. Free detention time at each end is stated at the time of booking; time beyond it is charged at the rate agreed.
Transit times
Transit times published on this website are typical running times, not guarantees. Weather, road closures, strikes, checkpoint delays and vehicle breakdown can extend them. We keep you informed when they do.
Liability
Our liability for loss or damage is limited to the extent provided under the Carriage by Road Act, 2007 and the rules made under it. Consignors are advised to insure high-value cargo. Claims must be raised in writing within seven days of delivery, with the POD copy attached.
Payment
Freight is payable on the terms stated on the invoice. Advances paid at loading are adjusted against the final bill. Documents including the POD are released against the agreed payment terms.
Goods we do not carry
We do not accept prohibited goods, undeclared hazardous material, currency, precious metal or anything that cannot be moved lawfully by road.
